Job Description

OVERALL PURPOSE OF ROLE

The CDE Manager takes care of cable systems design and engineering. This includes the definition of technical solutions in compliance with Customer requirements and with environment/ambient constraints and their optimization from both competitiveness and feasibility point of view. Activities involve the production of technical documentation for Customer and specifications for internal or subcontractors use.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop implement and update the strategy for the Common Data Environment in alignment with project and organizational goals.
  • Lead the setup configuration and deployment of the CDE platform ensuring it meets project requirements.
  • Oversee the organization storage and retrieval of project data within the CDE ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Promote collaboration among project teams by establishing workflows and protocols for data sharing and communication.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all CDErelated inquiries providing support and guidance to stakeholders.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for staff and stakeholders on the effective use of the CDE.
  • Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data within the CDE.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards regulations and organizational policies related to data management and sharing.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhancements to the CDE recommending changes based on user feedback and technological advancements.
  • Generate and analyze reports related to CDE usage performance and data management to inform decisionmaking.
  • Collaborate with IT and software vendors to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the CDE platform.
  • Oversee document control processes ensuring that all project documentation is managed effectively within the CDE.
  • Manage change requests related to the CDE ensuring that changes are documented communicated and implemented efficiently.
  • Identify potential risks associated with data management and collaboration developing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Ensure seamless integration of the CDE with other project management tools and systems used within the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master Degree in Engineering Computer science or similar
  • BIM Certification / BIM Master or similar
  • Full proficiency in both written and spoken English

Minimum Experience and Skills:

  • 2 year specific experience in the engineering or construction industry
  • Proven experience in large linear infrastructural projects.
  • Experience of BIM processes within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
  • Proven experience in the use of CDE (e.g Autodesk construction cloud) as information exchange platform. Knowledge of multiple CDE commercial solutions.
