Were looking for a

Claims Analyst

Based in our Miami or Richmond Virginia office and reporting to the Head of Underwriting Operations Hamilton Americas on a daytoday basis but ultimately to the Head of Claims Operations & Analytics the Claims Analyst will provide vital support for Hamiltons claims function to ensure that we provide a firstclass claims service to our clients around the world.


Hamilton Global Specialty is our multiplatform specialty insurer operating primarily through a Lloyds Syndicate and Dublin operating company with a managing general agency in the US.

This will initially be a fulltime officebased position working towards a more flexible hybrid working pattern.


What you will do

  • Validate key data points and set up new claims based on a preliminary review of Initial Notification of Loss (INOL) and policy documentation
  • Update existing claims based on subsequent claims developments
  • Process reserves and payments into claim administration systems including any excel based trackers
  • Update claims diary/ files diary follow ups with clients for additional information/ documentation as needed
  • Assist team on claim recovery efforts
  • Assist brokers and insureds with inquiries as needed
  • Carry out sanctions and premium collection status checks
  • Centralized Claims Mailbox management
  • Maintain updated records up to date including all relevant documentation

What you require for the role

  • 24 years of experience in insurance / claims preferred
  • Strong Excel skills (including lookups & pivots)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
  • Advanced numerical and attention to detail skills
  • Flexibility to work within multiple platforms
  • Bachelors degree or solid work experience
  • Ability to productively leverage data and technology
  • Open innovative and inclusive mindset
  • Collaborative spirit
