Job Summary

As a Wire Harness Technician you will build install and troubleshoot low and highvoltage wiring systems that power tomorrows vehicles. Youll work from detailed schematics and cut sheets ensure every connection meets stringent quality and safety requirements and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues quickly. This handson position is perfect for a detailoriented professional who thrives on varied projects and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble & Install Harnesses
    • Build wiring looms from scratch or adapt donor components using prints schematics and harness boards.
    • Route secure and integrate harnesses into vehicles test cells or standalone rigs.
  • Quality & Safety
    • Crimp solder torque and heatshrink to IPC/WHMAA620 or equivalent standards.
    • Perform continuity resistance and hipot tests; document and remedy any nonconformities.
  • Troubleshooting & Innovation
    • Diagnose wiring faults with multimeters and CAN tools; propose robust corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with engineers and senior techs to improve designs and build methods.
  • Workspace & 5S
    • Maintain an organized safe and confidential work area; follow all EHS procedures.
  • Process Improvement
    • Recommend tooling fixture and workflow enhancements that boost quality and reduce cycle time.

Experience

2 years in wireharness assembly or closely related automotive electrical work.

Technical Proficiency

Skilled in soldering crimping depinning and multimeter use; able to read schematics wiring diagrams and pinouts.

Attention to Detail

Commitment to 100 firsttimeright builds and thorough documentation.

ProblemSolving

Comfortable working independently asking clarifying questions and thinking creatively under time pressure.

Team Spirit

Positive proactive and eager to share knowledge in a fastpaced collaborative environment.

Preferred (Not Required)

  • IPC/WHMAA620 LV/HV safety or other wiring certifications.
  • Exposure to enginetest environments or OEM/Tier1 manufacturing plants.
