FACILITIES Coordinator STOCKTON
Position Summary
The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment to support teaching learning and KIPP Norcals commitment to a warm and welcoming environment. They are responsible for the clean up and maintenance of all Stockton school buildings and grounds. We want our buildings to be well cared for and maintained.
This position is supervised by the Director of School Operations (DSO) or the Business Operations Manager (BOM) and meets with and communicates frequently with all site leaders.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to identify problems and proactively find solutions
Knowledge of modern cleaning methods tools basic plumbing and equipment
English written and oral fluency; Spanish fluency is a plus
Ability to lift and carry 2050 lbs
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Ensure School Facilities Grounds and Equipment are Well Maintained and Address Issues that Arise
Learn building systems and train others on fire alarm burglar and electrical breaker systems.
When requested support DSO with unlocking doors disabling the alarm system ensuring air conditioning and heater are on and working properly.
Complete painting requests graffiti removal touch up painting and wall patching as needed.
Respond to facilities emergencies (examples include plumbing issues broken gates or windows HVAC issues etc.
Respond as a secondary point of contact to after hours alarms and/or facility issues.
Perform general cleaning duties
Conduct daily cleaning of all school spaces and grounds above and beyond what janitorial vendor provides; including exterior walkways halls common spaces classrooms and bathrooms duties include: sweeping and mopping floors cleaning and restocking student and faculty restrooms disinfecting drinking fountains and spot cleaning white boards chairs rugs light fixtures and windows.
Monitor cleaning service companys performance on a daily basis and report issues to the DSO.
Gathers and disposes of trash found on campuses such as: leaves litter and debris.
Support school teams with facilities related requests
Replace light bulbs hang cork boards and complete carpentry work as requested.
Coordinate and perform special projects when school is not in session (winter spring and summer breaks).
Coordinate with KIPP Norcal regional facilities staff to arrange major maintenance or repair work orders.
Additional Professional duties
Check in with supervisor weekly and communicate frequently with all the schools DSOs.
Perform other jobrelated duties as assigned and requested by the Supervisor DSO or School Leader.
Adhere to KIPPs health and safety guidelines as outlined by the CDC CDE and public health agencies recommendations.
Attends any/all trainings and meetings to stay current on expectations policies and procedures
Follows safety protocols and uses protective equipment/gear in order to minimize the frequency and severity of workrelated accidents.
Maintains reliable and consistent attendance and punctuality.
Greet families and school staff in a positive manner and work hard to conduct oneself as a steward of KIPP Norcals commitment to excellence.
Physical Mental and Environmental Demands
Physical: Ability to navigate office and school campuses. Occasional lifting/carrying of equipment 2050 lbs.
Mental: Stress of deadlines and normal work standards ability to analyze problems and generate alternatives work with interruptions concentrate for long periods of time read calculate perform routine math problems memorize and recall objects and people.
Environmental: School environment subject to constant interruptions and distractions. It will require work as current public health guidelines warrant. Adhere to KIPPs health and safety guidelines as outlined by the CDC CDE and public health agencies recommendations.
Classification
Fulltime nonexempt position based on a school calendar and timeoff policy.

We benchmark annually against comparablysized nonprofit organizations in the regions where we operate to offer competitive salaries. The hourly rate for this position is between $21.78 $26.40 / hour.
