Do you have a good working knowledge of and the ability to perform professional level maintenance services such as plumbing electrical appliances heating and airconditioning and general construction If yes this handson position might be just the perfect opportunity you have been looking for!
The Environmental Services Director manages the housekeeping laundry and maintenance departments while being responsible for the overall maintenance of the facility through preventative maintenance painting and repairs inside and outside of the facility and other required tasks. Supervision and direction of staff conducting routine tests and inspection on various facility systems and initiating and updating fire and disaster plans for the facility are also required.
Related work and management experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications:
- one year technical diploma or 5 years of related experience
- possess a valid drivers license and clean driving record
- thorough knowledge of boilers compressors and generators as well as the various mechanical electrical and plumbing systems
- comprehensive knowledge of local state and federal codes and ordinances and safety regulations
- ability to plan and carry out programs in repair or construction and have knowledge of record keeping and cost estimating
