This position is accountable for the effective servicing of APCI Federal Credit Union (FCU) members in person online by phone or through mail while also supporting member service backoffice functions. Telephone coverage may include loan program related questions. All transactions and other member service support functions must be performed in accordance with APCI Federal Credit Unions (APCI FCU) NCUA Air Products and Chemicals Inc. and other relevant policies procedures and all regulatory requirements.

The position is a member of the APCI FCUs member service team and reports to the APCI FCUs Manager of Member Services. The position includes responsibilities related to developing and maintaining positive member relationships and to promote APCI FCUs share and loan products and services.

APCI FCU provides financial services to the Air Products and Chemicals Inc. and Versum Materials employees and members of their immediate family and households. The APCI FCU provides a broad range of financial related products and services including mobile banking remote deposit capture vehicle loans refinance mortgage loans personal loans MasterCard savings checking money market share certificates and IRAs. Loan amounts range from $500 to $while individual member deposits range from $5 to over $1000000.

While having only a single physical location in Allentown PA the APCI FCUs members span over the 50 U.S. states in addition to a small international contingent. Larger member concentrations are located in Pennsylvania Texas California Arizona and Louisiana. The APCI FCU reaches its members through a variety of channels including internet mobile app telephone outbound calls and direct mail.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Develop and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of APCI FCU products and services with ability to clearly explain to current or potential members.
Represent APCI FCU in a courteous and professional manner which supports APCI FCUs mission and reputation.
Open modify and close all types of deposit products such as savings checking money market share certificates and IRAs.
Process Traditional and Roth IRA requests including contributions distributions and transfers.
Perform financial transactions including deposits withdrawals loan payments and issuing cashiers checks. Additionally balance cash drawers complete endofday reports investigate and resolve any outofbalance conditions for accounting.

Provide Signature Guarantee Signature Validation and Notary services.

Possess a comprehensive knowledge of loan application origination and servicing.
Ability to understand and explain compound interest and loan amortization schedules.
Maintain confidentiality of member(s) sensitive information.
Assist with lending and marketing activities designed to support and encourage loan and membership growth.
Develop and demonstrate an understanding of APCI FCU regulatory requirements such as USA PATRIOT Act BSA/OFAC and Reg. DD (TruthInSavings).
Perform other duties and complete projects as assigned by the APCI FCU President/CEO CFO CMR CCL Manager of Member Services or Board of Directors.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

• An Associates degree in business or finance is preferred but is not required.

• In lieu of an Associates degree a minimum of 3 years of financial institution experience is required.

• Credit union experience is preferred but is not required.

• Strong customer (member) service skills.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver friendly prompt and knowledgeable service while ensuring member confidentiality.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as intermediate proficiency with Word and Excel.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• A valid drivers license is required.

• Expected travel. Occasionally the Credit Union conducts membership events off the physical premises. Employees may be asked to participate in these events.
