POSITION PURPOSE
At BDA Human Resources is focused on creating a positive employee experience understanding what employees need and how we can provide support. Within this role the HR Generalist will support a business unit within Operations in a wide variety of responsibilities throughout the entire employee lifecycle. This includes recruiting employee relations and training and development. This person will act as the first point of contact for all employee matters questions and concerns. Is welcoming and solicits feedback from employees and partners with leadership to continue to refine processes. Understands when to escalate employee issues to the HR Director as appropriate.
This position will be based out of our Woodinville WA or Troy MI office and will be onsite 45 days per week.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as employee advocate to provide assistance with questions or concerns and connects employees to correct resources and tools to resolve issues.
- Provide consultation to leadership on employee relations or performance management issues. Conducts employee investigations and creates related documentation. Commitment to provide a timely objective resolution and followthrough to all parties to ensure proper resolution.
- Coach and advise leadership in all areas of appropriate HR management. Objectively coach employees through complex difficult or emotional situations.
- Support talent acquisition initiatives by recruiting the best most qualified candidates by understanding the business the staffing needs and attrition awareness.
- Knowledge of leave of absence laws responsibilities and regulations (including FMLA PFML) partnering with Benefits Manager to support employee leave needs.
- Competency in legal compliance of city state and federal regulations and applicable employment and labor laws updates policies and/or procedures as required.
- Collaborate with leadership to refine existing or develop and implement new efficiencies within programs policies procedures and tools.
- Ability to develop and implement employee programs such as recognition and training and development program (i.e. AntiHarassment/NonDiscrimination Performance Management Talent Development program etc.
- Responsible for maintaining employee files and training records.
- Uses best judgment in keeping sensitive information confidential and embodies ethics in his/her work in all employment and HR related matters.
- Fosters collaborative teamoriented relationships.
- Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelors degree; major in Human Resources or related field
- SHRMCP or PHR Certification preferred
- 57 years progressive HR experience with a minimum of 2 years recruiting and working in a fastpaced and collaborative team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel Smartsheet and PowerPoint
- Prior HRIS Applicant Tracking Systems such as Greenhouse and record management experience preferred
- Ability to organize prioritize work and understand HR compliance requirements
- Regular and predictable attendance required 45 days/week in office)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to sit in a stationary position in an office environment for extended periods of time and work on a PC without limitations
- Ability to move in an office environment in order to access files and gather information stand walk use hands to type handle or feel and reach with hands and arms

We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position is $85000 to $105000. If you are hired at BDA your compensation will be determined based on factors that may include geographic location skills education and experience. In addition to these factors we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any offer. In the spirit of pay transparency the range listed is the full base salary range for the role and hiring at the top of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future salary growth. The range listed is just one component of BDAs total compensation and rewards programs which includes: robust PTO; vacation a paid volunteer day holidays and summer Fridays Benefits; medical dental vision life and AD&D insurance 401k; tuition reimbursement mental health and financial wellness programs and professional development opportunities including tuition reimbursement. Certain revenuegenerating positions may be eligible for incentive compensation.
