Job Description

The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

Duties:

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of the Supply Chain team and provide guidance support and direction to ensure efficient operations within the department.
  • Act as liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and ensure order expectations are met.
  • Develop and maintain efficient processes for postorder activities including order confirmation scheduling and logistics coordination.
  • Monitor vendor partner performance; identify concerns and implement corrective actions to ensure streamlined continuity of service.
  • Proactively address client concerns and provide solutions to improve their experience and ensure service satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing and registration requirements and regulations.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Additional education certifications or other distinctions are a plus
  • Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook Excel Word PowerPoint Project Visio SharePoint etc.
  • Proficient in analytical applications like Power BI and Business objects is preferred but not required

Relevant Work Experience:

  • 35 years experience in supply chain management logistics or a related area as an individual contributor
  • Prior fleet management automotive industry or transportation logistics experience preferred
  • Breadth and depth of expertise in a technical or functional area; knowledge of work processes and tools is generally limited to own area of responsibility or department
  • Reviewing and improving processes methods and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy

  • Supervises a group of primarily paraprofessional level staff
  • Makes daytoday decisions within or for a group/small department
  • Has some authority for personnel actions
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    • Effectively manages change within their team (transitions new hires promotions)
    • Identifies and removes barriers to effective teamwork

    • Takes action quickly when performance is not meeting expectations
  • Adjusts quickly to new or changing work environment
  • Works within budgetary/financial objectives set by management
  • Identifies and resolves operational problems using defined processes expertise and judgement

    Partners with other internal departments in an effort to find short term solutions for our customers and long term operational efficiencies

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain department and implement initiatives to streamline operations.
  • Strengthen relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable and collaborative partnerships and improved process flow.
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable culture within the supply chain team and actively provide coaching guidance and development to enhance team members skills and capabilities.
  • Enhance client satisfaction by establishing systems and performing timely followup and problem resolution to support an overall positive client experience.

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with jobrelated skills experience relevant education or training and geographic location starting in the range of $81210.00 $117760.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
