The Role

The purpose of this role is to lead and support the successful onboarding training and operational readiness of new retail store teams. As the driving force behind delivering an exceptional onboarding experience for all new store teams from Educator (Sales Assistant) to Head Coach (Store Manager) to optimise the success of New Store Openings (NSOs).

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

New Store Opening Leadership & Coordination:

  • Lead and coordinate crossfunctional teams to ensure timely store openings

  • Facilitate weekly NSO calls manage action items and update the NSO tracker on Asana

  • Oversee bumpin week ensuring task accountability and fun teamwork.

  • Support Head Coach postopening for team development and retail process improvements

  • Maintain strong relationships with all departments involved in the NSO process

Training and Development:

  • Collaborate with Learning and Development to create onboarding guides and facilitate inductions

  • Train Star Trainer teams and new Head Coaches on retail operations and tools (RFID Shopify etc.

  • Ensure teams are ready for strong performance in store processes and community culture postopening

  • Create training documents and guides share feedback with Regional Managers and review postopen KPIs for continuous improvement

Attributes and experience
  • 5 years in retail management and project management

  • Ideally experience with apparel and fashion industry with strong Visual Merchandising skills

  • Ability to galvanise a team and keep timelines on track with a fun and lighthearted attitude

  • Confident in facilitation for adult learners both in person and virtually when applicable

  • Able to plan coordinate and execute New Store Openings with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines

  • Strong organisational skills has experience running opening processes on a tight turnaround

  • Proficient in retail systems and tools (e.g. RFID ItemOptix Kepler Shopify B2B etc)

  • Understands daily store operations labour planning and processes that drive efficiency and sales.

  • Strong communication relationshipbuilding and collaboration skills across crossfunctional teams

  • Ability to coach and mentor leaders and develop highpotential talent

  • Quickthinking and resourceful in resolving operational issues especially during the critical opening days and able to pivot and adapt when unexpected challenges arise

  • Exceptional attention to detail ensuring all elements are ticked off and were ready to open

  • Hungry humble & smart: Brings drive and initiative and is excited to learn. Always open and eager to hearing feedback while working well with others
