What would you do as a Maintenance Team Leader
As the Maintenance Team Leader at The Arc of ChemungSchuyler youll oversee daily operations to ensure our facilities are wellmaintained and safe. Expect to develop and manage work schedules for your team prioritizing tasks that enhance the user experience. Youll promote a culture of safety and efficiency as you troubleshoot issues and coordinate repairs.
Daily responsibilities may include conducting inspections reporting maintenance needs and training team members on best practices. Your typical schedule will be Monday through Friday during day shift hours but youll enjoy flexibility to adapt to project demands. Be prepared to engage with team members and community partners using your problemsolving skills to create effective solutions for any challenges that arise.
This role will be both dynamic and rewarding allowing you to lead with empathy and support the needs of our organization.
What matters most
To succeed as a Maintenance Team Leader at The Arc of ChemungSchuyler strong leadership and communication skills are essential. Youll need to effectively participate in scheduling and project management while mentoring your team using advanced training methods. Familiarity with various software tools for project tracking and reporting is a plus.
A solid background in semiskilled trades related to remodeling construction and maintenance of residential and light commercial properties is required. You will work closely with the Facilities Director so being adaptable and open to collaboration is crucial. Problemsolving abilities and an eye for detail will help you address maintenance issues efficiently.
