You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe University of Akron a NCAA D1 Institution (FBS) and member of the MidAmerican Conference (MAC) is seeking applicants for Head Strength and Conditioning coach for Womens Basketball. This position will direct the
development and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for the University of Akron Womens Basketball Team.
Job Duties:
Supervise the workouts of womens basketball studentathletes during practices and preseason conditioning.
Design workouts for the wbb team and individual players while maintaining and updating computerized workouts.
Oversee the purchase of needed supplies while performing general maintenance and cleaning procedures on equipment.
Collaborate with athletic trainers to analyze athletic injuries and facilitate the rehabilitation process through strength and conditioning workouts.
Perform testing procedures and evaluate results from strength and conditioning workouts for the purpose of recording information and implementing needed improvements
Requirements:
Requires a relevant Bachelors degree. Required Certification: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.. Requires a minimum of 2 years experience coaching strength and conditioning workouts at the collegiate or professional level is required. An understanding of the technical
fundamental and principles of weightlifting required. Teaching and strong
communication skills required.
