Location This is a TriCounty Itinerant position with projected majority of services in the Erie City area. Anticipated majority of Early Intervention services in Erie County but will also service Special Education School Aged as assigned. (FullTime)

Start Date: school year starting July 1st with limited days in the Summer until August InService
Salary school year): Bachelors: $63830 Masters $65971 (based on number of post graduation credits)
Work Days: 187 work days per school year 37.5 hour work week.
PTO: 10 paid sick days 3 Personal Days 2 Emergency Days per school year (based on start date)
Benefits: Medical Dental Vision Insurance upon hire date. $75/month for individuals or families. Life Insurance provided for employee at no cost.

III. Position Overview:
Northwest TriCounty Intermediate Unit (IU5 is seeking applicants for 7 fulltime itinerant SpeechLanguage Pathologists (SLP) to provide a majority of Early Intervention services in the Erie City area and Erie County but will also service Special Education School Aged as assigned. The goal of an SLP is to provide remedial services to students with speech language voice fluency or hearing disorders with the outcome of improving expressive/receptive communication and attain the necessary speech and language skills.
IV. Required Qualifications:
Candidates can be in their Clinical Fellowship year; however must have their PA Educational Specialist Certificate School Speech and Language Pathologist PK12 or be in the process of obtaining that certificate.
V. Essential Functions:
Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs interests and abilities of the students.
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior.
Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
