Job Description:
Responsible and accountable for observation of all monitors in the central monitoring station this includes 3 ABCD 4AB 4CD 5AB 5CD 6AB 6CD; MICU reporting any abnormalities obtaining routing documenting and accurately defining rhythm strips. Performs ECG tests on patients as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications/Knowledge Skills & Abilities (Indicate minimum required to qualify or perform this job.
Required Education/Experience/Licensing:
1. Graduate of an associate degree program in cardiovascular technology or have completed one year of the associate degree program in cardiovascular technology or have a minimum of 5 years experience in performing EKGs with the ability to recognize arrhythmias and/ or Telemetry Monitoring experience.
2. Must be willing to work flexible hours.
3. Successfully completes an arrhythmia test with a 80 overall including 100 on the fatal arrhythmia section.
4. Certification through CCI is preferred.
5. BLS Certification.
6. Physical requirements:
a. visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision when applicable;
b. ability to hear (with or without aides)
c. ability to orally communicate
d. good manual dexterity
e. ability to push pull roll and transfer/lift 30 pounds occasionally
f. ability to stand walk frequently
g. ability to bend reach stoop kneel frequently; and
h. ability to perform CPR (if a required for position).
