We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Millwright with experience in the general manufacturing industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing machine alignment corrections with heavy tooling and equipment to industrial machinery and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude a commitment to safety and the ability to work efficiently to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Install assemble align and dismantle industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance troubleshooting and repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints technical manuals and schematics to perform maintenance and installations.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company and industry safety regulations.
- Perform precision alignment of rotating equipment using laser alignment tools
- Fabricate and weld components as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Work with electricians machinists and other trades to complete complex repairs and installations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and equipment performance.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Travel to customer sites in designated locations to perform corrective services on rotating equipment and machinery.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Millwright certification or related technical training preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 35 years of experience as a Millwright in a general manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Must be willing to travel up to 85 of the time.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools welding equipment and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings schematics and machine manuals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
- Familiarity with lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces or at heights when required.
Preferred Qualifications
Journeyman Millwright Certification or equivalent training.
Welding and fabrication experience.
