About Us: Oklahoma State University Extension educators are the front door to the University providing a link between OSU and the people of the state in all 77 Oklahoma counties. The OSU Extension represents a federal state and county partnership working since 1914. The mission of OSU Extension is to disseminate information to the people of Oklahoma and encourage the adoption of researchgenerated knowledge. Extension educators provide researchbased information to clientele in the areas of agriculture family and consumer sciences 4H youth development and community and rural development. Who Are We: Extension: Agriculture: are lots of great reasons to work at OSU check out our great benefits and eligibility at position is in the Roger Mills County Extension Office Cheyenne Oklahoma. Position provides leadership to agricultural and 4H youth development programs in a dual assignment. Participates as a cohesive team member to involve local clientele and advisory groups to plan implement and evaluate the total OSU Extension County program. Due to communication expectations of the position the incumbent will be required to maintain cellular or other electronic communication devices. The incumbents salary includes compensation to apply toward the use of their personal cellular device.
The county Extension director (CED) provides administrative leadership for all aspects of the county Extension program operations including: personnel management staff development affirmative action civil rights fiscal management budget development inclusion and diversity facilities and equipment technology marketing and public relations. The CED is administratively accountable to the district Extension director for all assigned administrative and supervisory matters in the county and is responsible for compliance with all policies procedures and regulations relating to the operation of the total Extension program in the county. The CED serves at the discretion of the district Extension director. An applicable stipend for additional pay tied to the administrative duties will be paid in addition to the base salary agreed upon at hire for the selected candidate. The term of the administrative duties assignment is indefinite unless withdrawn by the district Extension director. The CED facilitates efforts of his/her staff regarding county program planning implementation and evaluation. This is done in addition to the Extension educator duties.
Base annual salary for entry level educators who have a bachelors degree is $42000; a masters degree is $46000. There is an additional stipend for CEDs. Starting salary is based upon education and prior relevant work experience. Extension educators hired with only a bachelors degree are encouraged to work toward completion of an approved masters degree. Continuation of employment is based upon need performance and available county funding.

Required:Bachelors inAgriculture or closely related. *Valid Drivers License Reliable transportation for travel connected with official duties. Reimbursement for official travel Preferred:Masters inAgriculture Previous experience in Cooperative Extension or closely related work is desirable.
