Residence Inn by Marriott located within the newly built vibrant Marischal Square district in the City Centre of Aberdeen is recruiting a full time Front of House Manager to help assist with front office duties and food and beverage services. In the heart of town our hotel is minutes from Union Street. At Residence Inn Aberdeen well make sure you are supported in your role and are welcomed into our culture.

We welcome extendedstay guests and families whether for business or leisure with a perfect combination of style and convenience creating a homefromhome experience. Our hotel consists of 126 spacious suites including bedroom separate living area with work space and a fully equipped kitchen for a comfortable stay in Aberdeen.

Role Overview:

Front of House Manager for the rooms division including a Food and Beverage outlet serving only breakfast and drinks. The role is the only Operational Head of Department on property full time and is key in administering front office functions and supervising staff daily. Front of House areas include Guest Services/Front Desk Breakfast and Kitchen team and liaising with Engineering on guest room directs and works with managers and employees to carry out procedures ensuring an efficient running of the hotel operation. Ensures guest and employee satisfaction and maximizes the financial performance of the department.

Core Activities:

  • Manages daytoday operations ensuring the quality standards and meeting the expectations of the customers daily.
  • Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize organize and accomplish your work.
  • Handles complaints settling disputes and resolving grievances and conflicts or otherwise negotiating with others.
  • Understands the impact of departments operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives and manages to achieve or exceed goals.
  • Encourages and building mutual trust respect and cooperation among team members.
  • Serving as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.
  • Supervises and manages employees. Manages all daytoday operations. Understands employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees absence.
  • Supports the developmental needs of others and coaching mentoring or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
  • Solicits employee feedback utilizes an open door policy and reviews employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns.
