You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs a member of the Channels and Operations Risk team within the Retail Bank Risk Office youll be challenged to shape the risk mitigation strategy for the Retail Complaints and Communications areas of Channels and Operations Youll work with various stakeholders to identify unmitigated risks and assist with opportunities to strengthen the control environment to reduce risks. In addition a key aspect of this role will utilize strong partnership and communication skills to engage and influence critical stakeholders to support the wellmanaged risk environment with the Complaints and Communications business teams.

This role is ideal for someone who is capable of supporting transformational change delivering gamechanging results and excels at conveying compelling narratives. The preferred candidate will have experience working in Compliance Technology or Risk Management organizations within a major financial institution or technology company with a solid understanding of process and change management frameworks risk and control methodology and regulatory requirement management and applicability.
Responsibilities:
Perform risk assessments to proactively identify potential risks to the business and work with key stakeholders to develop and drive solutions that remediate risks
Risk Consulting Provide advice and guidance on risks and controls impacting one or more areas within the Complaints and Communications business teams
Client Management Develop and leverage key relationships with the Complaints and Communications business teams and functional stakeholders to enable collaboration across the enterprise
Issues Management Identify and track issues and events to mitigate risk within Complaints and Communications business teams.
Coordinate with applicable business areas to define and implement timely remediation activities
Process and Change Management Lead change control efforts at the process level to ensure impacts are appropriately assessed documented and implemented
Audit and Exam Management Provide support to the Complaints and Communications business teams during audits and regulatory exams; support in the delivery of key risk mitigation and remediation activities
Leverage strong written and verbal communication skills to present complex risk topics to business and functional stakeholders
Manage implement and deliver on a subset of horizontal program deliverables
Basic Qualifications:
At least 3 years of Risk related experience in a Bank or Tech role
At least 5 years of experience with financial services industry
At least 3 years of experience structuring information for senior audiences
At least 3 years of experience with Risk Frameworks Control Methodologies or Lines of Defense
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
4 years of experience influencing leadership in an advisory capacity
Demonstrated ability to understand strategic imperatives and position team goals to effectively support those mandates
4 years of experience interacting with Audit and Regulatory Authorities
4 years of experience with risk core methodologies and risk categories
Proficiency with structuring slides and presentations in order to convey risk information

The minimum and maximum fulltime annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for parttime roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean VA: $146100 $166700 for Risk ManagerCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
