Job Description


St. Ignatius School

Position Description:
Fulltime Resource Teacher:school year
Continuous permanent contract subject to a successful probationary year.
Kindergarten to Grade 8 Resource support
Effective on Tuesday September 2 2025


Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education degree
Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)
Manitoba Special Education certificate or certification in progress
Previous experience as a Resource Teacher
Excellent understanding of current Manitoba curricula and differentiated instruction
Knowledge and training in formal and informal assessment
Familiar with appropriate educational programming
Ability to complete provincial documentation requirements for appropriate educational programming and funding applications for students with special needs
Ability to interpret educational and cognitive assessments
Strong verbal and written communication skills
a demonstrated commitment to Catholic faith;

Child Abuse Registry Check and Criminal Record Check documents will be required prior to commencement of employment.
