Hometown Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.
As a Veterinary Tech youll play an important role in petslives by providing endtoend care for our precious patients. Your lifechanging work will range from the handson care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Extensive animal handling and client interactions
- Ability to perform routine veterinary medical procedures (e.g. collect samples draw blood andadminister injections) and properly restrain patients
- Administering medications vaccines and treatments in the manner prescribed by the veterinarian
- Perform diagnostic tests and xrays
- Leading assisting and training the veterinary technician team in daily tasks
- Fostering a collaborative and positive environment
- Obtain patient history and provide client education
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
Qualifications & Skills:
- Registered Vet Tech preferred or at least two years of recent experience in a veterinary practice with increasing responsibilities.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks in the time allotted without direct supervision
- Demonstrates the ability to show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion while maintaining a commitment to outstanding client service
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Able to stay on task and work energetically for entire shift sometimes exceeding 10 hours per day
- Collaborates with others to foster a productive professional and positive work environment
- Maintains punctual and reliable attendance
- Understands and fairly applies policies and practices
- Works efficiently and independentlywhen needed
- Be willing to mentor guide and support fellow team members
