Job Description
By State law all positions that work with children require all three CHILD CLEARANCES be obtained prior to the first day of work. You should allow 46 weeks to obtain all you work for at least one month we will reimburse for the cost of the clearances $60.25 that are obtained for you to work for us. Please see more information.
GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (Seasonal Parttime)
REPORTS TO: GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT
NATURE OF WORK
This part time seasonal position assists with the maintenance and upkeep of the golf course grounds.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Safely and effectively operates all motorized mowing equipment including tractors greens mowers trim mowers tee mowers and rotary mowers.
- Assists with preventative maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Assists with repairs to the irrigation system.
- Assists with scheduled turf aerification procedures.
- Operates manual and power tools and equipment required to maintain the golf course.
- Performs leaf and debris cleanup and removal.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Performs all other work assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Clear understanding of golf course maintenance procedures.
- Clear understanding of golf course equipment repair and preventative maintenance.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Basic understanding of the game of golf.
REQUIRED EDUCATION TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- At least one year of experience working at a golf facility.
- State pesticide license preferred.
