Job Description
Position Overview:
Wellan Montessori School is seeking passionate summer staff to join our 2025 Summer Program team working with our Toddler and Preschool/Kindergarten students. This is a fulltime hourly position beginning on June 23 2025 and concluding on August 15 2025. There is also mandatory orientation the week of June 16 June 20. Orientation will not be held on June 19 in recognition of Juneteenth. We ask that our summer team members commit to at least three full weeks of the program.
Responsibilities include: planning and overseeing ageappropriate activities for our playbased program including crafts and games maintaining program spaces supporting program logistics and implementing health and safety protocols.
Successful candidates will be patient wellorganized flexible professional and dependable; be able to function in a cooperative teaching environment; and be able to collaborate with other educators in our community to create an environment where children play socialize explore and grow together.
Position Details:
- FullTime Seasonal: 40 hours per week for duration of position
- Regular Hours: Monday Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm or 9:00am 5:00pm with flexibility
- Minimum commitment of three full weeks of the program
- Hourly rate starting at $21 an hour
- Six Week Bonus: Staff that work 6 or more weeks at Wellans Summer Program will receive a $250 bonus.
Job Requirements:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience working with young children.
- Experience planning summer activities including games music and crafts preferred.
- Letter of interest/cover letter resume and at least two references are required to be considered for this position.
