Job Description

Overview:


1.0 FTE 40 hours per week

MondayFriday Hours may vary

Description Summary:


Manages the onboarding process supervises competency processes and assesses learning needs of the clinical staff for the assigned section. Develops education plans and may directly educate or facilitate learning experiences for clinical staff. Does not manage staff; must work in collaboration with the leadership team to ensure organizational and department goals are met. Authorized to access the unit medication rooms or bedside medication drawers in order to retrieve medications they are authorized to administer.


Job Description:


Essential Functions:


Education Requirement:

Bachelors degree in healthcare related field and a minimum of an Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy required.

Masters degree preferred.


Licensure Requirement:

Current Ohio license to practice respiratory care required.


Certifications:

Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care required.

Additional credential of NPS preferred.

RPFT and AEC preferred.

CPR and PALS required.


Skills:

Experience:

Two years of experience in pediatric/neonatal critical care preferred.


Physical Requirements:

OCCASIONALLY: Bend/twist Climb stairs/ladder Driving motor vehicles (work required) *additional testing may be required Flexing/extending of neck Reaching above shoulder Squat/kneel
