General Summary:
A strategic and handson Product Manager Data Governance to lead and execute our data governance initiatives. This role will focus on building our data governance roadmap data catalog configuration driving the data stewardship practice and ensuring the continued evolution of our data governance capabilities. The Product Manager will work to strengthen and optimize our framework while aligning it with organizational goals.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for data governance and catalog tools ensuring alignment with business objectives organizational goals and regulatory compliance.
Set clear product requirements focused on data quality lineage privacy accessibility and security ensuring the catalog and governance solutions meet the needs of stakeholders.
Design and implement a Data Stewardship Program across the organization establishing guidelines for data classification metadata management and stewardship engagement to ensure effective governance at the operational level.
Develop and deliver comprehensive training and onboarding materials for data stewards ensuring they understand their role in maintaining data quality lineage compliance and governance policies.
Lead training sessions and workshops for data stewards promoting best practices for data catalog use metadata management and stewardship responsibilities.
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for data cataloging governance and stewardship promoting best practices and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Partner with compliance privacy and security teams to ensure that data governance solutions meet relevant legal and regulatory standards (e.g. HIPAA).
Develop and enforce data access policies ensuring secure and responsible use of data across the organization.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data catalog usage data governance and data quality to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
Lead the administration configuration integration and customization of the enterprise data catalog system (Alation) managing daytoday operations and ensuring alignment with business needs governance standards and enhancing data discovery.
Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to troubleshoot technical issues manage upgrades and ensure seamless integration of the data catalog with enterprise systems such as data warehouses data lakes and BI tools.
Lead efforts to automate and scale metadata management and data stewardship processes continuously improving catalog features and adoption to support business needs.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Business or related field (Masters degree preferred).
5 years of experience in product management data governance or metadata management with a focus on leading data catalog and data governance initiatives.
Proven track record of managing enterprise data governance programs including data catalog administration and collaboration with crossfunctional teams.
Strong experience with data catalog platforms such as Alation (preferred) Informatica or similar tools.
Familiarity with cloudbased data platforms (e.g. AWS Google Cloud Azure) and their integration with data governance solutions and Snowflake cataloging.
Experience working in a healthcare environment particularly with clinical and operational data governance challenges as well as working in Epic Healthcare systems.
Certification in data governance frameworks (e.g. DAMADMBOK Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

$93600.00$154440.00 SalaryAt Lurie Childrens we are committed to competitive and fair compensation aligned with market rates and internal equity reflecting individual contributions experience and expertise. The pay range for this job indicates minimum and maximum targets for the position.
