Who You Are

Youre a video editor and producer with a passion for local journalism and storytelling looking to make an impact across multiple brands while being part of a supportive and collaborative team. You have handson experience creating engaging content growing online communities and analyzing performance to optimize social media growth on Instagram TikTok YouTube and other social media platforms. You are selfmotivated with a strong sense of initiative and possess the ability to work independently. You have the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality and are a team player with a collaborative mindset adaptable in a fastchanging environment and youre detailoriented with a knack for understanding brand identity and tone.

What Youll Do

• Postproduction editing on various social video assignments daytoday;
• Audio editing/mixing and colourgrading where applicable;
• Upload and organize project and footage on the video teams hot and cold storage management systems;
• Pitch video ideas based on current affairs; brand scope; and audience;
• Motion graphics editing and ideation where applicable;
• Provide onsite production assistance where applicable on various assignments weektoweek where applicable;
• Collaborate on teamwide projects and initiatives when applicable;
• Participate in teamwide meetings with the video team discussing weekly assignments; pitches; revisions; and more

What You Have

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with a demand for Premiere Pro; knowledge in After Effects; experience with Photoshop/Illustrator; and baseline knowledge of Media Encoder;
• The ability to work weekends and evenings
• A keen attitude and hunger to tell stories
• Strong literacy when it comes to social video is a must. The ideal candidate is someone who consumes content daily and can identify what separates a good social video from an excellent one.
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills is a must;
• Candidate is a selfstarter and can work independently and/or collaborate with the team when required;
• A hawkeye attention to detail from video quality control to basic copy editing skills;
