Job Description

Salary Range: $49305.00 $60646.00/annual

**APPLICANT MUST HAVE A VALID UNRESTRICTED INSURABLE DRIVERS LICENSE**

**RESUMES AND REFERENCES ARE REQUIRED**

ESSENTIAL DUTIES FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates NEMT service requests to and from Outpatient Clinics.
  • Coordinates NEMT service requests from hospitalization.
  • Coordinates and adjusts scheduled routes as needed.
  • Communicates medical appointments or hospitalization discharges with patients NEMT Driver and medical facilities of date time and place.
  • Verifies patient transport eligibility with State Medicaid Programs.
  • Ensures prior authorization is obtained from State Medicaid Programs before scheduling transport of patient if applicable.
  • Ensures daily trip reports are accurately completed.
  • Maintains transportation logs and reports (Safety Checklist Safety Log Activity Mileage Logand Individual Accident Procedure Sheet) for NEMT service.
  • Ensures compliance with Privacy Act and HIPAA standards.
  • Participates in internal and external audits.
  • Completes Annual department budget.
  • Availability to work all shifts including nights weekends and holidays.
  • Ensures confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • Completes and reviews annual employee evaluations.
  • Ensures proper training of NEMT staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: One 1 year of direct work experience and one 1 year in a supervisory capacity.

Education: Associate Degree in related field or equivalent education or experience.

FDIHB and its facilities are located within the Navajo Nation and in accordance with Navajo Nation law has implemented a Navajo/Indian Preference in Employment Policy. Pursuant to this Policy applicants who meet the minimum qualifications for this position and who are enrolled members of the Navajo Nation will be given primary preference in hiring and employment for this position and members of other federally recognized Indian tribes will be given secondary preference. Other candidates will be considered only after all candidates entitled to primary or secondary preference have been fully considered.
