Are you excited about this Chief Financial Officer job

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at The Arc of ChemungSchuyler plays a pivotal role in both operational and programmatic aspects of the organization. This leadership position directly supervises the Controller and the Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis ensuring financial accuracy and strategic insight. Additionally the CFO oversees all departments within the Business Services Division including Accounting IT Maintenance and Transportation. Acting as the chief financial spokesperson you will represent the organization both internally and externally fostering transparency and trust. This role is essential for driving our mission forward and enhancing our commitment to service excellence in the nonprofit sector.

What you need to be successful

To excel as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at The Arc of ChemungSchuyler candidates should possess a bachelors or masters degree in accounting Finance or a related discipline with CPA certification preferred. A minimum of five to seven years of financial and management experience is essential for overseeing daily financial operations. Familiarity with current trends developments laws and issues within the New York State longterm care industry will be beneficial in navigating complex challenges. Experience in the NonProfit sector and familiarity with OPWDD (Office for People with Developmental Disabilities) preferred.

Strong interpersonal oral and written communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 is also required enabling seamless data management and reporting. The right candidate will demonstrate a blend of technical expertise and dynamic leadership to drive our financial strategy forward.
