Your work environment at EXP
In this role you will be a part of the Transportationteam based in Ontarioand have the opportunity to work on the various projects.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Prepare preliminary design reports (PDR) design criteria preliminary and detailed designs associated with new and/or the rehabilitation of divided highways arterial regional roads collector roads and local roads.
- Prepare preliminary designs for CADD staff and review drawings for compliance with applicable industry and client standards.
- Prepare Contract Specifications Tender Documents and Applications for Agency Approvals.
- Review and issue finalized Shop Drawings.
- Coordinate and mentor junior staff working within the division.
- Liaise with Clients Subconsultants Contractors and construction supervision staff.
- Assist with the preparation of Proposals for future projects.
What your experience looks like
- Professional Engineer . licensed in Ontario with PEO with 10 years preferably from a consulting engineering office environment in Ontario. Experience on P3 DesignBuild and Infrastructure OntarioMetrolinx projects would be an asset.
- Approved in MTORAQS under the Highway EngineeringDetailed Design Category for Detailed Design Multilane Arterial & Expressway.
- Emphasis and proficiency with Microstation OpenRoads AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience with earlier versions of Microstation and InRoads will be considered.
- Strong computer software skills with ProjectWise Word Excel & MS Project.
- Highly proficient in the use of MTOs software applications CPS and HiCo.
- Comprehensive knowledge with MTO and Metrolinx standards including various Municipal & Regional design and drafting standards.
- Skilled in cost estimating quantity preparation and specification writing.
- Have a track record of gaining approval of infrastructure designs from MTO roads authorities and environmental agencies.
- Independent Organized and Motivated Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills; and
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and deliver projects under stringent schedules in a fastpaced turnaround environment.
