Job Description
Eligibility Specialist Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services
As an Eligibility Specialist your day revolves around performing theChildrens Ohio Eligibility Determination Instrument (COEDI or theOhio Eligibility Determination Instrument (OEDI assessment tools. You will connect to families to schedule and conduct these assessments. After conducting thorough assessments youll enter the data into both local and state databases and process eligibility packets. Once results are finalized youll notify families of the outcomes providing them with clarity and guidance. Throughout the day youll also offer community resources and referrals for those seeking waiver or communitybased services. To ensure continuous improvement youll track data and trends related to outcomes and share key insights with your supervisor helping to enhance service delivery across the organization.
Only Candidates Possessing the Following Requirements will be Considered:
- These items must be indicated on your resume or in a cover letter:
- Bachelors degreein social work psychology special education human services or related field of study
- One year of fulltime paid work experience in programs or services for individuals with developmental disabilities
- Must demonstrate having experience performing one of the following formal assessments on the resume or in a cover letter:
- Childrens Ohio Eligibility Determination Instrument (COEDI)
- Ohio Eligibility Determination Instrument (OEDI)
- Child Adolescent Needs and Strengths Assessment (CANS)
- Independent living skills measurement scale
- Functional Independence Measure
- Casey life skills transition assessment
- Level of Care Assessments
- Level of functioning scales
- Katz Index of Independence in Activities of Daily Living (Katz ADL)
- The Lawton Instrumental Activities of Daily Living Scale (IADL)
- World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule
- Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs)
- Must be able to pass criminal background checks and various abuser registry checks
Benefits at Hamilton CountyDevelopmental Disabilities Services:
- 36.25hour work week fulltime role. Hourly position paid biweekly.
- After the initial training period hybrid workfromhome options are available. Hours will be fixed with exact schedule to be determined upon hire.
- One week of paid vacation and 15 sick days immediately allocated upon hire. 3 personal days provided per year prorated with employee start date. Starting vacation accrual of 3 weeks per year. Sick time accrued at 15 days per year after first year of employment with an unlimited accrual.
- Starting salary range determined by formula accounting for years of experience: $49000.00 (base rate) to $61000.00 10 years of experience performing this same job or job with primarily the same duties.
