Job Description

Poultry Equipment Sales Representative


Location: United States (Travel 90 of the time)


Job Type: FullTime Remote with extensive travel


Job Summary:


We are seeking an experienced and motivated Poultry Equipment Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team at Morris & Associates. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales developing relationships and promoting a range of poultry equipment and custom solutions across the United States. This role will require frequent travel (approximately 90 to meet with customers attend trade shows and conduct product demonstrations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development: Identify prospect and generate new business opportunities within the poultry industry. Maintain and grow existing customer accounts to meet sales targets and company goals.
  • Customer Relationships: Build and nurture strong longterm relationships with customers including owners managers and decisionmakers in the poultry industry.
  • Product Presentations & Demonstrations: Conduct onsite product demonstrations and provide technical training to potential and existing customers.
  • Market Knowledge & Research: Stay informed about industry trends competitive offerings and customer needs to effectively position our products in the market.
  • Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Regularly update the sales management team on sales progress market trends and competitive landscape. Provide accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
  • Customer Support: Address customer inquiries resolve issues and offer technical support for poultry equipment solutions.
  • Trade Shows & Conferences: Represent the company at industry events conferences and trade shows to expand the companys visibility and network with potential clients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering marketing and support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and align product offerings with market demands.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or production preferably in the agricultural poultry or equipment sales industry.
  • Poultry Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of poultry plant operations and the specific equipment used in the industry is highly preferred.
  • Travel: Ability to travel 90 of the time including overnight stays across the United States.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present multiple solutions and get into agreement with potential customers.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and explain technical aspects of poultry equipment products. Comfort with presenting complex product features and benefits.
  • SelfMotivated: Proven ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while meeting deadlines and sales goals.
  • Drivers License: Valid drivers license and willingness to travel by car plane or other means as required.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Agriculture or a related field is preferred but not required.
