We are seeking a highly skilled Intel COMSEC Specialist to provide cybersecurity engineering support for critical Department of Defense (DoD) systems. This role involves securing maintaining and managing cryptographic communications equipment and ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key personnel to verify appropriate storage requirements for classified materials.
- Coordinate and manage monthly and annual COMSEC requirements.
- Track programcontrolled cryptographic items (CCI) equipment and rekey status.
- Maintain and operate primary GemOne workstations working with system administrators to request updates and security controls.
- Manage Tactical FASTLANE (TACLANE) networks ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Provide troubleshooting support and resolve issues related to COMSEC systems.
- Oversee TACLANE configuration management to ensure compliance with security policies and operational requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems Information Technology Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Certifications:
- Must hold a DoD 8570.01M Baseline Certification minimum IAT Level III in accordance with DFARS 252.2397001.
Clearance: Active Secret or higher required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of fulltime professional experience in:
- COMSEC storage and security compliance.
- Monthly and annual COMSEC management.
- CCI equipment tracking and key management.
- System administration collaboration for security updates.
- TACLANE network management and troubleshooting.
- Configuration and maintenance of cryptographic security devices.
Physical and Mental Qualifications:
- Maintain focus and awareness throughout scheduled working hours.
- Perform tasks requiring prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk utilizing a computer mouse and keyboard.
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 15 pounds as needed.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong command of the English language.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
- Quickly learn and retain routine tasks and processes.
- Possess strong organizational skills attention to detail business correspondence proficiency and selfmanagement capabilities.
