JOB SUMMARY

The Manager of Software Engineering will lead and oversee all software engineering activities for their team and contribute to the software engineering activities across the organization. This role plays a key part in defining and executing the strategy for building robust scalable libraries and APIs that empower customers to rapidly develop SDR applications leveraging our hardware solutions. The individual will ensure all engineering initiatives align with organizational objectives and uphold excellence in performance and delivery.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Provide handson technical leadership and oversight of the development of complex scalable embedded software libraries for SDR platforms.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design and implement new radio features and add support for new radio products.
  • Collaborate with product and project management and the software architect over the software design life cycle to align on roadmaps release planning feature prioritization maintenance activities and to drive the release and shipment of software libraries.
  • Oversee the and timeline of software development ensuring adherence to schedules and scope.
  • Deliver reliable and accurate estimates for development efforts supporting planning and resource allocation.
  • Represent Epiq Solutions in customerfacing technical discussions contributing to solution definition and building trust through deep domain expertise.
  • Serve as a senior technical advisor influencing engineering decisions across the organization.
  • Promote and implement best practices in software design development testing and documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the development lifecycle.

Management Responsibilities

  • Define and refine software development processes tools and best practices within the engineering organization to improve the teams velocity and agility.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and practices ensuring Epiq remains ahead of the curve.
  • Lead a team of 59 engineers managing team capacity effectively to support efforts across projects with different priorities.
  • Guide career development technical growth and professional advancement of engineering team members.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and performance reviews providing constructive feedback and mentorship.
  • Foster a culture of learning innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Navigate interpersonal challenges with diplomacy and emotional intelligence.
Requirements

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering required; Masters in Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development specializing in x86 and ARMbased Linux embedded sensors and systems.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in:

Softwaredefined radio (SDR) and signal processing across diverse hardware platforms

C/C library development

  • Familiarity with:

Build Systems and Services

CI/CD and DevOps practices


REQUIRED LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT SKILLS

  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership capacity.
  • Strong communication skillsboth written and verbal.
  • Exceptional analytical and problemsolving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive employee development.
  • High emotional intelligence with a proven ability to mentor and inspire highperforming teams.
