Job Description
A creative and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher with a focus on Food Technology is required to join an Outstanding Girls school in Islington. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to develop their understanding of nutrition food science and culinary skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan prepare and deliver engaging Design & Technology Teacher lessons focusing on Food Technology at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop students knowledge of healthy eating food preparation techniques and the science behind cooking.
- Assess and monitor student progress in Design & Technology providing constructive feedback to enhance their learning.
- Contribute to the development of the Food Technology curriculum and promote healthy eating initiatives within the school.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design & Technology ideally with a strong interest or specialism in Food Technology.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Design & Technology with a focus on Food Technology at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong practical skills in food preparation and a good understanding of nutrition and food safety.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills capable of inspiring creativity and a passion for food in students.
