Job Description
Position: Financial Controller
Workstations:
- Primary: Kyamuhunga Tea Company Ltd Kampala
- Secondary Support: Mukwasi General Contractors Ltd Kampala
Reporting to: General Manager
Key Responsibilities
At Kyamuhunga Tea Company Ltd
- Lead the finance department and oversee daytoday financial operations.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements reports and cash flow forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS Ugandan tax regulations and company policies.
- Manage the Odoo ERP financial modules including configuration and reporting.
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors banks and URA.
- Supervise and build capacity within the accounts and finance team.
At Mukwasi General Contractors Ltd
- Provide oversight on tax compliance statutory filings and audit preparation.
- Review and reconcile financial records related to rental income expenses and tax obligations.
- Supervise the Accounts Assistant who is currently responsible for data entry.
- Assist in preparing financial reports for property performance and board presentations.
- Advise on rental income tax (individual and corporate) reconciliations and cash flow tracking.
Requirements
Key Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or Commerce.
CPA (Uganda) or ACCA qualification is mandatory.
Minimum of 7 years experience in finance including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Demonstrated experience in audit coordination tax planning and reconciliations.
Familiarity with ERP systems (Odoo preferred).
Experience in manufacturing is an added advantage.
Strong leadership integrity and analytical thinking.
