Job Description

Adelphi is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to provide services at a correctional facility in Herlong California. The ideal candidates will provide comprehensive medical care to the inmate population while ensuring compliance with established healthcare standards.

Requirements:

Valid unrestricted PA/NP license in California or Nevada

BLS (AHA)

Minimum 1 2 years of family medicine or urgent care experience

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive medical and psychosocial assessments.

Manage acute and stable chronic conditions.

Perform physical dental and mental health examinations.

Administer medications and obtain IV access.

Provide emergency care and lifesaving procedures.

Assist in minor surgical procedures (e.g. sutures I&Ds cyst removals).

Interpret diagnostic tests labs EKGs radiographs.

Prescribe treatments/medications after physician consultation.

Document all patient interactions in electronic health records.

Work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

Maintain professional ethical interactions with inmates.

Additional duties as assigned by facility.
