Role Overview
The Cable Operative will build and maintain new and existing core and distribution fibre networks specifically fibre cable sub duct pulling as well as fibre blowing. Involves heavy cable pulling either with assist equipment or byhand and identifying cables/parts of cables sub ducts to be worked on in various locations and environments.
As part of a 2 or 3 person gang the core responsibilities will be to
Upgrade existing fibre networks through heavy cable pulling sub duct pulling and fibre blowing to client standards
Build and maintain new and existing fibre networks either with assist equipment or byhand through identifying cables and sub ducts to be worked on in various locations and environments
Record changes and upgrades made updating the client with details upon task closure
There is a strong focus on health and safety and you will be required to complete risk assessments and online forms via a company provided tablet/mobile phone.
Skills and Qualifications
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Ability to work within a team
Be able to prioritise organise and manage tasks
Wellpresented and have good presentation skills.
Must have good IT skills specifically Microsoft Excel and Word.
Must be holding a Full Driving License
NRSWA Accredited
Approved Fibre / Sub Duct installation trained. Confined Spaces City & Guilds preferred relevant fibre cabling and blowing qualifications.

Education
Proven experience with Power BI and SQL (intermediate level). Solid understanding of Power Apps, Power Automate, and Azure. A knack for problem-solving and solution development. Excellent communication and presentation skills. The ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. A self-starter attitude and a drive to succeed.
