Job Description
Job Description: Structural Steel Fitter
Location: Oman
Experience: 5 10 years in structural steel fabrication (industrial warehouses bridges platforms etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret technical drawings blueprints and specifications for structural steel assembly.
Fabricate assemble and fit steel components (beams columns girders) using hand/power tools.
Align and secure structural elements with bolts welds or rivets ensuring precision and compliance.
Collaborate with engineers welders and painters to meet project specifications and deadlines.
Inspect work for accuracy quality and adherence to safety/industry standards (e.g. AWS ISO).
Operate machinery (e.g. grinders drills cranes) and maintain tools/equipment.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in structural steel fitting for industrial projects.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and using measuring tools (calipers levels).
Knowledge of welding techniques cutting and fabrication processes (preferred).
Familiarity with safety protocols (OSHA/equivalent) and PPE requirements.
Relevant certifications (e.g. welding/fitting certifications) are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work at heights in confined spaces and under varying weather conditions.
Physically fit for manual labor lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
Note: Candidates must be willing to relocate/work in Oman.
