Position Summary:
The Business Solutions Consultant is a key member of the WIOA workforce development team responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with local employers to create employment opportunities for program participants. This role supports the successful implementation of Work Experience (WEX) OntheJob Training (OJT) and other employerrelated activities to ensure job placements and meet program performance metrics. The position requires a mix of business development participant coordination and data management.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct outreach to local businesses to identify job opportunities training initiatives and partnership opportunities.
- Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with employers to understand and respond to workforce needs.
- Assist employers with recruiting interviewing and hiring qualified WIOA participants.
- Coordinate and promote hiring events job fairs and employer presentations including occasional afterhours support.
- Accurately track and document participant placements and employer engagement efforts in SCWOS WORCS and shared systems.
- Maintain and update job order listings and labor market knowledge.
- Facilitate employer onboarding contract preparation and documentation packets.
- Ensure compliance with documentation requirements and timely uploads.
- Track participant hours and payroll in Paycom for WEX placements; maintain financial records and Excel trackers for invoicing.
- Communicate with participants as needed to provide followup and support during job placements.
- Gather employer feedback to continuously improve services and support strategies.
- Collaborate with case managers and internal staff to align employer needs with participant skills and career goals.
- Ensure digital and physical file organization meets program audit and compliance standards.
Performance Expectations:
- Meet or exceed established benchmarks for OJT and WEX placements as outlined by the projects goals.
- Contribute to overall project performance by consistently generating employer leads developing new partnerships and securing meaningful employment opportunities for participants.
- Maintain 100 compliance with employer documentation including contracts agreements and performance tracking tools.
- Support achievement of overall project metrics through timely reporting coordinated outreach efforts and crossfunctional collaboration with Career Advisors and leadership.
- Demonstrate initiative in resolving challenges related to placements employer engagement or compliance.
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution or a minimum of 2 years of experience in employer engagement recruiting staffing sales marketing or customer service.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong customer service orientation with a professional and approachable demeanor.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook); ability to learn workforce databases such as SCWOS and Paycom
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of local labor market trends and community resources.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Valid drivers license and proof of current automobile insurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with workforce development WIOA programs or working with underserved populations.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Experience in event planning community outreach or training coordination.
