Role Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic ultrasound services to patients in a clinical setting.
- Perform ultrasounds in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Evaluate the medical history of patients to determine appropriate ultrasound procedures.
- Ensure the maintenance and calibration of ultrasound equipment.
- Document and maintain accurate records of ultrasound findings and procedures.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to discuss results and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and address concerns.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols during procedures.
- Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
- Assist in training junior staff or medical interns in ultrasound practices.
- Participate in continuous education and professional development activities.
- Perform special ultrasound tests when necessary including Doppler studies.
- Review and analyze results to diagnose and monitor medical conditions.
- Engage with patients post-procedure to discuss findings and next steps.
- Support administrative tasks related to patient care as needed.
Qualifications:
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
- MD in Radiology or similar qualification is preferred.
- Certification in ultrasound technology.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound anatomy physiology and pathology.
- Excellent patient assessment and clinical skills.
- Ability to interpret and analyze ultrasound images accurately.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on patient safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient in medical documentation and report writing.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and training.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
