The Pricing Data Science team creates efficient marketplaces by determining an optimal price that is both sustainable and loved by our partners and consumers.
Get to Know the Role
We are looking for a Data Scientist to build selfoptimizing pricing products that can automatically adjust booking/order fares in response to the dynamic market conditions to achieve predetermined goals. You will report into the Head of Data Science (Pricing) and is based onsite in Beijing.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will conduct exploratory data analysis to gain insights and harness the insights to build scalable dynamic pricing ML/OR models.
- You will establish pipelines to automate the model parameter tuning and model serving in a scalable way.
- You will build dashboards to monitor the health of our DS solutions. This will involve tracking performance identifying issues and implementing improvements.
- You will collaborate with Engineering teams to deploy machine learning optimisation models in a production environment. This will involve ensuring the smooth integration of these models into our pricing systems.
- You will create technical documents outlining the methodologies and findings of your work. You will also present solutions to nontechnical stakeholders in a clear nontechnical manner.
Qualifications :
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- You hold a Bachelor or Master Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science Operations Research Mathematics Statistics Physics or Software Engineering.
- You have solid background in at least two of the following domains: Operation Research Reinforcement Learning Deep Learning Causal Inference.
- You have 1 years of working experience in tech companies or academic institutions.
- You are proficient in Python Tensorflow/Pytorch SQL and Spark.
- You can develop data processing ETL pipelines to support data analysis model training and model serving tasks.
- You are familiar with Version Control Systems such as git gitflow and understand the full software development lifecycle.
