Sr Manager Logistics Procurement

Purpose of the role is to establish the right strategic partnership with logistic service providers that Rituals has the right capacity to grow and get the service offered in line with our promise at the right cost level. You will be responsible for  the procurement of the Rituals Logistics Portfolio globally. This role will drive the logistics function towards the future contributing to Rituals environmental objectives and enabling the steep growth whilst realizing the most efficient and effective setup to best serve our endcustomers.

The Sr Mgr Logistics Procurement must be able to screen and (re)construct logistics processes and deliver an optimized scalable process definingand manitaining logistics sourcing strategy.

Always seeking for constructive solutions for complex logistics situations you propose and implement best practices and technologies to achieve costsaving and improved services. On top of this you:

• Develop and maintain the logistics procurement category strategy with a 35 year focus
• Are responsible for scalable robust global logistics network setup to support regular business and major events as introductions promotions and Xmas
• Install a clear governance model in order to faciliate most effective communication with all stakeholders as well as to monitor measure and optimize supplier performance
• Ensure that all logistics projects comply with logisitcs procurement standards and reprensent logistics in corporate sustainabiltiy (strategy) meetings next to being responsbile for periodic supplier screening on their full sustainability portfolio
• Collaborate closely with the Logistics Director in designing building and launching a new warehouse facility including setting up the processes and systems required for efficient operations and a pivotal role in expanding the companys warehousing capabilities
• Serve as logistics leader and source of expertise while working closely with other functions across the organization at the same time foster a high performance and results driven culture through KPIs key metrics and goals
• Actively monitor market developments which can be translated into benefits for Rituals

Qualifications :

• Master in Supply Chain Business Administration or Business Economics 
• Minimum of 10 years experience  with 3PL) supplier management preferably within a Netherlands based FMCG or Retail organisation and knowledge of export/customs processes and dangerous goods treatment.
• Ability to selfmanage a functional expertise. Demonstrated ability to work in a fastpaced selfstarter environment
• Recognised leader in supply chain able to get trust and confidence from senior management to get the job done. Influence peers to follow standards and processes.
• Able to define and communicate a clear vision proven skills to get tools processes and team organised to achieve this vision.
• Strong communicator able to perform and work efficiently under pressure with strong influencing and negotiating skills at all levels in organisation
• Knowing what to measure and how. Draws insights from data to understand where performance is strong and where there are opportunities to improve
• Strong understanding of process design systems implementation and standardization methodologies
• Dutch language skills strongly preferred to understand certain legal/government implications
• Skilled in project management/leadership  
• Willingness to travel abroad
