Job Description

The Head of Facilities Services is responsible for leading and driving the vision strategy and operational excellence of the Facility Services department. This role oversees a large team ensuring highquality service delivery fostering collaboration and implementing innovative processes to improve efficiency and achieve cost reductions. The ideal candidate will establish a strong culture of standardization accountability and proactive support across the department while aligning with KPMGs broader organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership & Vision:
    • Develop and communicate a vision for Facility Services that aligns with Operations and KPMGs business objectives.
    • Enhance service delivery efficiency improve support functions and achieve cost reductions through operational excellence and outsourcing.
  2. Team Development & Engagement:
    • Build a cohesive agile and solutionsoriented team culture promoting a hospitalityfocused mindset.
    • Lead and mentor subteam heads empowering them to drive personal development and align teams with organizational goals.
  3. Operational Excellence & Efficiency:
    • Streamline processes for key functional areas including facility management events host and office management site support demand management and supplier services.
    • Ensure a safe healthy and pleasant working environment for colleagues and guests through optimized facilities portfolio management.
  4. Stakeholder Collaboration & Business Impact:
    • Act as the primary liaison between Facility Services senior management and the business addressing emerging needs and opportunities for proactive support.
    • Represent Facility Services in the Operations Management Team (MT) driving transformation initiatives and improvements aligned with broader organizational goals.
  5. Cost Management:
    • Identify and implement costsaving measures without compromising service quality.
  6. Change Management & Leadership:
    • Promote a culture of standardization reducing exceptions and escalations through rulesbased processes.
    • Engage and educate the business to embrace standardization and operational transformation initiatives.

Qualifications :

  • Masters degree (WO) in Business Administration Facility Management Hotel Management or a related field
  • 10 years of relevant work experience in Facility Management including experience in a strategic leadership role at a corporate organization
  • 7 years executive management and building teams experience with a strong emphasis on implementing efficiency improvements costreduction initiatives supply chain management and outsourcing
  • Experience in organizational transformation and driving process improvements in a complex matrixed organization would also be highly beneficial
  • Influencing key internal stakeholders (e.g. directors of Advisory Assurance Business Services and Location leaders) to adopt and support new processes or improvements
  • Presenting compelling arguments supported with data and aligned with organisational objectives to gain buyin for portfolio adjustments real estate choices costcutting initiatives and efficiency improvements
  • Collaborating closely across departments to ensure Facility Services meets business needs while maintaining compliance and best practices
  • Engaging and motivating their team to adopt a customeroriented innovative mindset in daily operations
  • Possessing a positively critical mindset the Head of Facility Services is adaptable and thrives in an environment of change continuously seeking ways to improve processes and outcomes while demonstrating flexibility in approach and
  • Regular alignment with Advisory Assurance Business Services and Location leaders to understand evolving business needs and how Facility Services can improve the service delivery
  • Regular alignment with COOs to discuss changing demands that will impact Facility Services portfolio and performance
  • Regular alignment with Operations MT to discuss developments within Operations and to report on progress on transformation goals within Facility Services
  • Align changes with Facility Services Teams to improve efficiency and effectiveness towards the business and the portfolio


Additional Information :

  • Lead the Facility Services team to achieve strategic and operational objectives.
  • Ensure highquality service delivery across all functions.
  • Collaborate with senior management department heads and location leads (Kantoorvoorzitters) to address talent needs and share updates on Facility Services initiatives.
  • Drive accountability through regular performance reviews KPIs and feedback cycles.
