Summary
The Schmidthorst College of Business invites applications for a qualifiedrank (nontenuretrack) Assistant Teaching Professors open to all business disciplines to support our interdisciplinary introduction to business and business capstone classes starting in August 2025. This is a 9month fulltime nontenuretrack renewable position; two open positions available.

Essential Functions
- Teaching 24 credithours per year primarily in Understanding the Dynamics of Business BGSUs first year introduction to business course and the business Capstone class
- Actively engaging in the transformational first year experience for the Schmidthorst College of Business
- Support career connections and mentoring through the Capstone a community consultingbased class
- Demonstrate sufficient professional activity to maintain AACSB faculty qualifications
- Service to department college university profession and community
Minimum Qualifications
- Masters degree in a business discipline
- Five or more years of relevant current professional experience post masters degree
- A successful candidate is expected to have demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Masters degree from an AACSB accredited university
- Teaching experience in business education at the freshman level
- Ten or more years of business experience
- Strong potential to contribute to the missions of the Schmidthorst College of Business and Bowling Green State University
