LABORER/CLEAN UP (Surface) 6
This position is responsible for the cleanup assignments delegated to them by the supervisor. Operator will be responsible for identifying and reporting any hazard in any assigned work area. They will be required to report any issues noted on any belt conveyor systems that they will be cleaning around. This includes rollers idlers drive systems mechanical and vulcanized splices. Removal of buildup washing baghouse maintenance. The use of sledgehammers jackhammers shovels and other handtools will be required at extensively. Employees will be working from heights air mailing removing trash and washing as needed. The equipment required to learn are the following: Skid including the skid attachmentsSweeper Jack Hammer Extended Blade Extended Bucket Pay Loaders Vacuum Truck Manlift Barrel handler and Forklift. Also the use of a highpressure hot water system will be required.
Where will you work: Onsite at 1361 Potash Mines Road Carlsbad NM 88220
Schedule: This position is 6am3pm 9/80 schedule.
What youll do:
- Identify and correct safety hazards/issues and operate & service mobile equipment.
- Ability to safely operate Skids & Loader equipment and pass qualifications (Qual) cards of said equipment is a must within 6 months of receiving the position.
- Must be willing to work overtime including callouts.
- Must be able to work from heights.
What youll need:
- Must be able to manage risk and hazard associated within the surface environment.
- Show a strong commitment to safety through company sponsored programs and have an exceptional record maintaining a clean work area.
- Use the necessary equipment and tools to perform the job duties; The candidate must be able follow instructions analyze monitor and learn new processes and procedures.
- Must be able to read write and should have a good understanding of basic mathematics.
- Past work history must support that the candidate is selfmotivated skilled in exercising and making independent judgment/decision making with no repercussions.
- Must have good attendance and proven ability to follow and comply with company rules and regulations.
- Heavy equipment experience preferred.

- Must be able to perform physical tasks involving lifting up to 50 pounds frequent stopping bending walking shoveling lifting etc. in various heights.
- Safety: Must wear all personal protective equipment and follow all safety rules and regulations in accomplishing the job functions.
- Candidate is also responsible for encouraging crew members compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
