Job Description

Champion outstanding teaching and learning in Maths across our Havering school as our Lead Practitioner!

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Maths teacher with a passion for excellence to join us as a Lead Practitioner. You will be a role model of exceptional practice and play a key role in raising standards across the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Model exemplary teaching in Maths including lesson planning delivery and assessment.
  • Observe and provide constructive feedback to Maths teachers to enhance their practice.
  • Lead the development and sharing of highquality teaching resources and strategies.
  • Organise and deliver departmental training sessions on effective pedagogy.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Support the Head of Maths in raising student attainment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
  • A consistently outstanding record of teaching Maths across all key stages.
  • Experience in observing and providing feedback to colleagues.
  • Deep understanding of effective teaching methodologies in Maths.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
