Job Description
An engaging and knowledgeable History Teacher is required to join an Outstanding Mixed school in Harrow. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with a fascination for the past and develop their critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan prepare and deliver captivating History Teacher lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Prepare students effectively for GCSE History examinations ensuring a strong understanding of historical concepts.
- Cultivate a dynamic learning environment that encourages historical inquiry and debate.
- Assess and monitor student progress in History providing insightful feedback to enhance their understanding.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in History.
- Demonstrated experience teaching History at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4.
- A strong and comprehensive knowledge of British and world history.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills capable of bringing historical events to life for students.
