Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Academy is seeking a Middle School Science Teacher. This teacher would also be responsible for instruction in Religion and/or Reading.
Qualifications/Requirements
Saint Charles Academy is seeking a qualified and experienced teacher. Every teacher is a member of the professional staff with responsibilities in the areas of instruction curriculum development classroom management student/parent relations faith life and community relations.
All teachers are required to possess a valid and current Teaching Certificate and hold the appropriate endorsement for the subject(s) they are assigned to teach. All teachers who are catechists must be certified by the Department of Evangelization Catechesis and Schools.

Candidates should possess the following skills and classroom practices:
- An understanding of the Catholic Faith and the ability to witness to it personally and professionally.
- Modeling and facilitating daily prayer in the classroom along with active participation/planning of school liturgies and prayer services
- Establishment of a classroom environment that develops the spiritual academic social and emotional growth of all children
- Integrates technology as a tool for learning and instruction
- Develop lesson plans to promote spiritual academic physical social and emotional growth
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- A willingness for collaboration and work effectively to promote positive relationships with staff students and parents
- Management of a safe and nurturing environment
- Development of partnerships with parents to encourage communication regarding their childs growth and development
- Completion of Protecting Gods Children training Fingerprinting and Background Check
- Must be certified by the Department of Evangelization Catechesis and Schools or working towards certification
