We are looking for a beginning to intermediate AV Control Systems Programmer. This could be a great role for a service or installation technician looking to get into programming. Familiarity with AV programming languages such as NetLinx or SIMPL Windows is greatly preferred. Other programming experience with C C# Python or Lua could be an alternative depending on qualifications.
If you have Bachelors Degree in Computer Programming or equivalent experience this could be the job that you are looking for. We are seeking energetic individuals that would like to expand their computer programing skills and grow a new career as an AV Control Systems Programmer (CSP). We will provide extensive training opportunities for Crestron Extron AMX and QSYS certifications and accelerate your ability to become a valued CSP and an integral part of our Technical Services team. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Will work with Project and Operation Managers on service and commissioning as well and as needed work with Sales Engineers on project design.
Must Haves:
Fundamental understanding of how a typical AV system functions.
Collaborative approach to programming and making AV systems work.
Willingness to travel to customer sites in the City of Philadelphia and surrounding areas.
Demonstrated programming experience. Code samples will be required.
Preferred:
Audio DSP programming experience.
Graphical user interface design experience.
Duties Could Include:
Crestron and/or AMX control system programming implementation and testing for System Integration client projects.
GUI design and implementation.
Assisting with other programming such as Extron QSC and audio programming with proper training if the need arises.
Device configuration and inhouse system testing.
Participating in programming code reviews as required.
Contributing to design review and code review as required.
Assisting with resolution of field code issues.
Assisting with technical support to Commissioners Engineers Project Managers and Installers.
Assisting with the sales process as a technical resource including possible site visits with Account Managers to understand client requirements as requested and scheduled through your manager.
You may be asked to assist as a Commissioning Technician performing final system commissioning and/or working as a service technician on programming related service call
Other duties as required or assigned by company management.
Primarily based at the AVT offices in Kimberton PA with some time spent at customer sites and occasional opportunities to work remotely. Remote opportunities will increase with experience.
Candidate should have at least 35 years working in the AV industry or a bachelors degree in computer science.
