Head of Quality Breathe Life Sciences (BLS)
Location: Brisbane or Perth preferred hybrid considered with regular travel
Axia Recruitment is proud to have partnered with Breathe Life Sciences (BLS) a leader in the Australian pharmaceutical and medicinal cannabis industries. Were excited to help them find an entrepreneurial Head of Quality to lead the Quality Assurance function at their TGA licensed GMP facility.
About Your New Role
As Head of Quality youll play a critical role in ensuring that BLSs manufacturing processes meet the highest quality standards and comply with all regulatory requirements. You will oversee the quality systems lead the QA team and work to ensure continuous improvement across all aspects of the business.
What Your Responsibilities Will Entail:
Quality Assurance Leadership: Manage the entire quality system and ensure products meet GMP regulations.
Timely Product Release: Lead the team to ensure the timely release of batches meeting both quality and customer specifications.
Continuous Improvement: Drive quality improvements across all functions within the team constantly striving for higher standards.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company meets compliance standards for audits and inspections from bodies like the TGA and other international regulators.
Team Management: Lead guide and mentor the QA team helping them improve their processes and grow in their roles.
What Youll Need to Succeed:
Relevant Qualifications: A Bachelors degree in Pharmacy Chemistry Biology or a related field. An advanced degree would be highly regarded.
Industry Experience: Strong experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sectors.
Regulatory Knowledge: A solid understanding of GMP regulations and TGA requirements as well as familiarity with other international regulatory frameworks.
Leadership Skills: Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and mentor your team.
A Commercial Mindset: Ability to think outside the box and apply commercial insight to maintain compliance and enhance quality practices.
