Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of sushi dishes including nigiri maki and sashimi according to established recipes and standards On Board Cruise Ship

Ensure all sushi dishes are prepared and presented to the highest quality and visual standards

Train and supervise junior sushi chefs in proper techniques and procedures

Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed

Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations

Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to develop new menu items and specials

Assist with menu planning and cost control measures

Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times

Follow all company policies and procedures including uniform and grooming standards

Participate in onboard events and activities as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience as a sushi chef in a highvolume restaurant or hotel

Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred

Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi techniques

Excellent knife skills and attention to detail

Ability to work in a fastpaced highpressure environment

Strong communication and leadership skills

Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed

Fluent in English additional languages a plus
