Summary Statement
This handson technical manager will lead people processesand technology in a 24/7 IT environment managing Building Automation Systems(BAS) and Webmaster teams. Responsibilities include supporting DSCYF IT systemssuch as video surveillance access controls HVAC systems and more at allDSCYF facilities including secure 24/7 facilities. Duties involve maintainingsystems ensuring security compliance and representing IT requirements at theDTI Architecture Review Board (ARB) and IT audits. The role includesInformation Security Officer duties and managing publicfacing DSCYF in afterhours support rotation and travel to State facilities isrequired. A valid drivers license is necessary. Comfort with jaillikefacilities is required.

- Organizes staffs budgets and directs a statewide strategic Management Resource Information System.
- Establishes long and shortterm goals in order to meet strategic objectives of an integrated statewide automated information system.
- Monitors and evaluates system requirements in order to meet established goals and objectives.
- Develops plans and implements major software enhancements and applications.
- Oversees the training and development of staff and agency personnel on the technical procedural use of system information.
- Develops project planning policies and procedures for statewide use.
- Implements special projects responding to various requirements for information not otherwise provided by current system capabilities.
Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS for Strategic Information Systems Manager
Applicants must have education training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
- Three years experience in information technology project management which includes planning scheduling staffing coordinating controlling monitoring evaluating and reporting on status of IT projects.
- Three years experiencein designing developing and maintaining information systems.
- Six months experience in staff supervision which includes planning assigning reviewing and evaluating the work of others.
Additional Posting Information
The State of Delaware recognizes the value oftelework and flexible working schedules. This position may be eligible for Telework and Alternative Work Schedules according to the State of Delawares Alternative Work Arrangement Policy.Applicant must live within 90 minutes of the DSCYFAdministration Building 1825 Faulkland Road Wilmington DE as this position requires the ability tophysically report to the office location. More information will be shared at the time of interview.
This position supports a 24x7 operational environment which may require extended hours includingengagement outside normal working hours. Performs related work as needed.
